In honor of the 25th anniversary of the founding of Image Comics, my favorite comic in the universe, Invincible. I first got into comics around the birth of Image, so I've always read just as many creator-owned, independent books as mainstream ones. Their bold experiment was a major factor in paving the way for any artist and writer like me to one day create, publish and own their characters and stories.
